Invasive diagnostic fetal tests

Invasive prenatal diagnosis consists in obtaining fetal material through an invasive method. Mainly through two techniques: amniocentesis and chorionic villus biopsy. The objective of
these tests is the precise prenatal genetic diagnosis of chromosomal or genetic abnormalities. Both techniques, despite being invasive, present an extremely low complication rate of less than one percent.
